Beautiful animal species inhabit the surrounding areas of Quepos
Albergue El Silencio is a common release point for much of the rehabilitated wildlife in the area. There is a community cooperative building next to the palm plantation in El Silencio, a town 6 km (3.7 miles) and 25 km (15.5 miles) south of Quepos. Come here to see green and red macaws released. These macaws have been re-introduced to local flocks.
