Villas Tranquilas is one of the newest, most modern vacation rental properties in Qupeos, Costa Rica. It was built in 2007 on a site that is believed to be part of an old plantation.

Steve Bliss, a well-known architect from the United States, kept this in mind when he designed and built on this existing 6 acre clearing. The open architectural design, and the solitude of the surrounding rainforest, provides a very different, more secluded and less commercialized vacation experience from what is typically found in Manuel Antonio.

Our spacious, custom-designed homes contain all of the modern conveniences. You can view the rainforest from your balcony, so don’t forget your binoculars! The grounds are planted with native plants and flowers which attract many bird species and exotic butterflies. Look closely into the rainforest in the early morning or evening and catch a glimpse of a frolicking family of squirrel monkeys.

Seasonal Visits

The area’s ”high season” begins in December and ends as April winds down. Visitors during February get a bonus: The Festival del Mar which is a month-long festival. It’s full of sporting events, parades, concerts, and a street carnival.

Easy Access

We’re located just 2 miles from the Quepos airport! Turn right as you leave the airport and go straight. Look for the round blue Villas Tranquilas sign and follow the road through the tropical rainforest to our secluded grounds, away from the tourist filled streets of Manual Antonio. As you round the corner, the grounds open up into a natural clearing, originally a part of an old banana plantation, where the rainforest can be viewed from a comfortable distance. Follow the raised teak walkways to one of the 4 plantation style villas to your private townhome.
